The FAIR-IMPACT national roadshow was held in Paris on September 11, 2024, at INRAE headquarters, in conjunction with the French EOSC tripartite event. The French scientific community turned out in force, with over 140 people online and 17 on site. A great variety of research institutes and infrastructures, universities and colleges, as well as ministries, were represented, making this event a great opportunity to share and improve knowledge on FAIR implementation and related European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ambitions. The aim of this event was also to present the work done in France on the national level. Different partners showed their work, skills, and tools developed thanks to FAIR-IMPACT and other related EOSC projects.

From June 3rd to 6th 2024, the 19th International Conference on Open Repositories was held in Göteborg, Sweden. FAIR-IMPACT was present at the conference, presenting our poster “Exposing repository information to foster connections and trust: evaluating and implementing guidelines”.

During the 18th International Digital Curation Conference, FAIR-IMPACT organised 3 workshops about several topics related to FAIR data practices, with some of the sister projects FAIRCORE4EOSC and Skills4EOSC. During the EOSC Symposium in Prague, FAIR-IMPACT organised two workshops about persistent identifiers (PIDs). The FAIR-IMPACT breakout session took place to discuss how the EOSC PID Policy responsibilities map to different stakeholders: an important issue to achieve a shared understanding of its implementation and to support a FAIR service ecosystem.

Today is FAIR-IMPACT’s first time celebrating the World Digital Preservation Day #WDPD and we’re joining in on the party! Amongst all the amazing contributions being made today (and of course every other day of the year where preservationists are doing incredible work), we would love to share our relation to the topic and our plans for the next two-and-a-half years.

I joined DataCite to contribute to the FAIR-IMPACT project. Today I’m happy to share with you some of our plans and progress made so far.

The FooSIN project, in collaboration with the ANR project D2KAB project, organised the 3rd AgroHackathon on August 29 and 30 at the Institut Agro Montpellier. The event was supported by INRAE, DigitAg and Labex NUMEV. All of the feedback was very positive: for the coaches, confronted with very varied real cases brought by users on-site; for the competitors, who have all become more familiar with the tools and more aware of the FAIR principles.
