After a successful first round, FAIR-IMPACT launched the second Open Call for financial support on 31 January 2024, offering five support actions designed to create PID policies, improve the FAIRness of research software, and more.
This support is suitable for those who are more advanced on their FAIR-enabling journey and ready to test specific tools and approaches. All support actions will provide successful applicants with financial support to enable participation in a series of virtual workshops and to carry out independent work to implement different tools, methods or approaches. Successful applicants will benefit from expert guidance and advice from FAIR-IMPACT mentors. This Open Call includes support actions relating to:
- creating EOSC-compliant persistent identifier policies using the FAIRCORE4EOSC Compliance Assessment Tool (CAT)
- implementing recommendations for creating FAIR research software
- assessing the FAIRness of research software using a tailored version of F-UJI
- drafting recommendations for improving the transparency and trustworthiness of data repositories
- monitoring the research data policy landscape using FAIRsharing
The deadline for the Open Call is 31 March.
On 31 January, FAIR-IMPACT also delivered a webinar to provide more information about the support actions that are available, what financial support will be made available for each and how to apply. This hour-long session also provided information on what is expected of applicants and specific skills and expertise necessary to participate in each offer. There was also time for questions from the participants. Watch the recording of this webinar.
