The 2023 edition of the Synchronisation Force workshop featured seven online sessions from 2 November 2023 to 8 February 2024. The five core sessions covered aspects related to Metrics and assessing FAIRness, Metadata, semantics and interoperability, Persistent Identifiers, Trustworthy and FAIR-enabling repositories, Legal and organisational interoperability. Around 80 individuals from projects and initiatives in the EOSC framework, as well as beyond Europe, registered for the workshop series, each attracting 30 to more than 40 attendees.
The main highlights and recommendation resulting from such an intense work are collected in this report. This information will assist all interested stakeholders in comprehensively understanding the current landscape of FAIR development. The compiled information is also accessible on the project website and disseminated on Zenodo.
The recommendations are intended for consideration and review during the final Synchronisation Force session scheduled for late 2024.
