Event Highlight: FAIR-IMPACT Unconference Session on Findability at EOSC Symposium 2024

The EOSC Symposium 2024, held in Berlin at the H4 Hotel Alexanderplatz, was a great success, taking place under the patronage of Bettina Stark-Watzinger, the German Minister for Education and Research. Organised by the EOSC Association, NFDI, and EOSC-A, with support from the Horizon Europe project EOSC Focus, the event brought together a wide range of stakeholders to explore the latest advancements within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

One of the standout moments was the unconference session hosted by FAIR-IMPACT, in partnership with OpenWebSearch.eu and FAIRCORE4EOSC. Titled "Findability in FAIR: Touchpoints between EOSC and Open Web Search," the session, held on 22 October 2024, provided an interactive platform for participants to explore how enhancing the findability (F) aspect of FAIR data can impact research, industry, and society. Discussions focused on improving transparency in search tools, fostering collaboration, and shaping the future of FAIR data within the EOSC framework.
