Implementation story of how a geospatial data catalogue has started linking software and datasets the proper way thanks to the SWHID identifiers. Inspiration for extending other data catalogues to also include SWHIDs or other software PIDs in their records’ landing pages; raise awareness on the importance of software in research; motivate researchers to publish their software, which naturally stimulates higher software quality.
