Under the title "FAIR Assessments for Research Quality Evaluation and Reproducibility", the FAIR National Roadshow series will visit Italy on April 8, 2025. This hybrid event is organized by FAIR-IMPACT in collaboration with ETT and the Data Stewards of the University of Bologna.
The event is structured around two main sessions. The morning session will explore the current framework of open science policy in Italy. Plenary presentations will introduce Italy’s Open Science Plan, the national competence center for open science currently under development, and the Italian Reproducibility Network, with a particular focus on FAIR data practices—especially in terms of accessibility—in the urban context of Genoa.
The afternoon session will showcase FAIR best practices within Italian scientific communities, particularly in the management of environmental emergencies and in ocean and marine science applications. Two panel sessions will be introduced by keynote speeches from thematic communities, featuring success stories of implementation of FAIR practices.
Target audience: The event is aimed for the Italian National Data Stewards Community, but it is open to the Italiana Research data management community at large, including data support staff, researchers and decision makers at universities and research institutes
